my 2011 resolution list

This year has really worn me out, like really, really squeezed every drop of good energy out of my body and my mind..a friend of mine called this year  "the year of lemons" true in my case as well.
But every time you get pushed down, somehow there are good, great things that happen as life never forgets to give you a hand and raise you up again.

So here it is, my 2011 list of things I want to accomplish :

-live in the present day
-not dwelling on the past or obsessing about the future
-enjoying myself more, everyday
-get rid of the negative past and let the light shine through everyday
-stop complaining
-make my life an adventure
-look more into myself and who I am- discover and enjoy myself
-smile everyday
-Let It Go...
-to don't be afraid to acknowledge my hopes and dreams just because my fear of failure
-concentrate on my artwork

I wish each and everyone of you to have a great New year, with fulfillment and exciting new things coming your way!
Hugs, Maria

Paris holiday

Dear friends, as I promised, I took some pictures of our Paris holiday which was great, but a bit too cold for the kids who still enjoyed it and had a great time.

Marc Loret

A dear friend of mine sent and dedicated me this, I loved it and want to share it:

"Every day we slaughter our finest impulses. That is why we get a heart-ache when we read those lines written by the hand of a master and recognize them as our own, as the tender shoots which we stifled, because we lacked the faith to believe in our own powers, our own criterion of truth and beauty.
Every man, when he gets quiet, when he becomes desperately honest with himself, is capable of uttering profound truths. We all derive from the same source. There is no mystery about the origin of things.
We are all part of creation, all kings, all poets, all musicians; we have only to open up, to discover what is already there."
Henry Miller, from the book 'Sexus'

I've learned

picture collage of beautycomma

" I've learned that you cannot make someone love you.  All you can do is be someone who can be loved.  The rest is up to them.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but whom you have in your life that counts.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.  Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other.   And, just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I’ve learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I’ve learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt, and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish.  Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I've learned that heroes are people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I’ve learned that you can keep going long after you can’t.

I've learned that without pursuing your dream, your life is empty, regardless of how much money you have "

I've learned that you always have a choice.

Happy Holidays!

The world is covered with a white sheet of snow... Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to open your heart is to have the real spirit of Christmas.
Every piece of the universe, even the tiniest little snow crystal, matters somehow. I have a place in the pattern, and so do you....

Wishing you happiness, health for you and your loved ones, fun around every corner, energy to chase your dreams and joy to fill your holidays, Merry Christmas to you all!
