in the name of art


I'm thinking about all the creatives out there.... 
I don't believe in perfection. I don't believe it's achievable or interesting. I don't believe I should spend my time doing one perfect thing. 
This fantasy of perfection that we conjure up is often used to disempower ourselves. 
                          I think that a big block to our creativity is the fear that our work, 
even in it's initial stages, has to meet the standards of other completed artworks - paintings, gallery shows, novels, you name it. 
This is not how work is actually made, 
it doesn't arrive completed or ready packaged like a microwaved meal
