Some of us find it more vulnerable to give. 

Some of us find it more vulnerable to receive. 

Both tendencies can actually be control mechanisms- by always giving, 

we never have to actually take in another’s love;

 by always receiving, we never have to risk someone rejecting our love. 

The healthier relationships are those where we can celebrate and be celebrated, 

where we can love and be loved. 

A mutual appreciation society with everyone’s heart on their sleeves.
